This luxurious train transports its guests on a remarkable sojourn of a land shining in legions grandeur - serene beaches, magnificent forts - palaces and experiencing divine tales etched in colossal rocks.

The objective of running "The Deccan Odyssey" is primarily to showcase the best of tourism assets of Maharashtra like pristine beauty of Konkan coast, the art, the culture, the heritage (including world heritage sites of Ajanta - Ellora) of Maharashtra as well as Maharashtra's local arts, crafts & cuisine.

The Deccan Odyssey treats each of their guests to unprecedented luxury on wheels with the help of 21 superlative, luxury coaches. Out of these, eleven are guest cabins. Each coach has four cabins. In order to ensure a comfortable journey, each Deccan Odyssey cabin is well-equipped with a range of modern amenities. They are spacious, elegant and seamlessly designed to radiate the various eras of the Deccan dynasties.

The Deccan Odyssey is also home to four splendid Presidential Suites. Each of these sophisticated suites is exquisitely designed and comes with all modern facilities.

We also offer a specially equipped cabin, for the comfort of our differently-abled guests. The ultimate aim is to ensure all guests make the most of their Deccan Odyssey journey.

The Deccan Odyssey's two gourmet restaurants, Waavar & Utsav have been designed to keep the element of Indian royalty intact. Our chefs ensure the cuisine keeps pace with the train's journey, by creating local specialties of the very state that the train travels through. So you discover every location with all your senses, including your taste buds! Each meal also includes an International menu to choose from. In order to further enhance the gourmet experience, Deccan Odyssey presents travelers with a well-stocked bar - Gateway. This is the ideal spot to meet and know your fellow travellers, over an evening drink & snacks.

After a long day of exploration, head to Deccan Odyssey's wonderful spa "Ayush". The salon's well-trained masseurs, incorporate ancient Indian techniques to help you relax your body and rejuvenate your mind.

If work requires your time and attention, then our conference car, "Pankh" will take care of all your business needs. Equipped with the latest facilities, it ensures you manage your work efficiently even while you're away traveling.

While you're on the Deccan Odyssey, our well-organized staff ensures your every need is taken care of. For an incredibly relaxed journey, valets are accessible round-the-clock; one for every Presidential Suite and one for each coach.

Accommodation

10 fully air-conditioned Deluxe Cabin saloons, each with combination of 4 twin bedded chambers and 2 fully air-conditioned Presidential Suite saloons each with 2 suites with combination of living room & bed room. Saloons are equipped with channel music, intercom, player, attached toilets, running hot and cold water, shower, wall-to-wall carpeting and other amenities.

For Physically Challenged Persons

Special assistance is available in the form of wheel chairs, creches and a special attendant for manual assistance.

Luggage Collection

Your luggage is picked up and taken to your respective Saloon without your worrying about it.

Arrival Kit

Each guest is provided with an arrival kit consisting of stationery items, brochures, cards, etc. It would be available in the cabin. Anything additional can be asked for, from the attendant, always available at your service.

Attendant

An attendant is always available at your service, to take care of all your travel needs.

An exotic array of dishes to choose from various cuisines, which are available on the Deccan Odyssey.

The Deccan Odyssey has exclusive non-smoking suite cars and separate bar car Mumbai Hi for the guests who love to smoke.

Conference car with all amenities and connectivity designed to match the best if you wish to have conference on board.

The Body Massage, facials, with Ayurvedic Oils and Steam bath is available to rejuvenate you. A Gymnasium is also there for your routine work outs.

Well equipped with computers, secretarial services, photocopying, telecommunication, internet, equipment rental is available onboard.

3. The Tariff includes all meals, travel, transportation, sightseeing by A.C. deluxe coaches, entrance fees and still camera charges at monuments, palaces, boat cruises etc.

4. Tariff does not include liquor, beverages, Laundry, Smokes, Video Camera Charges at monuments, palaces, temples and other items of personal nature on Board or outside, use of Spa, telephones and business center facilities.

5. Respecting the local sentiments, guests are requested to remove their shoes while visiting temples and shrines.

6. Beggars and hawkers are to be discouraged strictly.

7. It would be advisable to carry your swimsuits, as we would be visiting beaches at Ganapatipule, Tarkarli and Goa or the hotel swimming pools.

8. After noon sun tends to be rather strong, so do not forget to carry your sun block, sunglasses, caps and hats or umbrellas.

9. The weather during March and April tends to be rather hot, hence light color cottons will be well.

10. Wearing comfortable shoes would be advisable as there is lot to see you, on foot.

11. Laundry service would be available at Goa.

12. Foreign Exchange facilities will be available at Mumbai & Goa.

13. Doctor on Call.

14. Due to exigencies or unavoidable circumstances there could be occasions where the itinerary could be changed without prior notice.

15. In cases where the group comprises of large numbers, the same would be grouped into batches.

16. The group number one would follow the normal route of sightseeing and the other group could follow in the reverse order.

17. While on sightseeing tours, it would be advisable to follow the guidelines of the Tour Manager and Guide. Please avoid splitting from the group for precaution.

18. An electronic safe is provided in each cabin to keep all your valuables. Should you forget your code, please contact the General Manager on the Train.

19. Medicine Chest is available on board for First-Aid requirements.

20. Electric Supply in the cabins is 240 v and 110 v in the bathrooms.

21. Shaver socket supply is 110 v and 240 v. Kindly use as per your specifications.
