In the south east of Rajasthan, a land of fairy tale palaces and colorful bazaars, you'll find Ranthambore: a park covering 400 square km's of Indian jungle. Here you can experience two thrilling game drives, giving you the best opportunity to see the majestic tiger in its native habitat.

One of the largest national parks in India, Ranthambore is located 81 miles from Jaipur, in the Sawai Madhopur District of south-eastern Rajasthan. The National Park is home to the ruins of a 10th century fort and a wildlife sanctuary, considered to be the countries best for observing and photographing the activities of the tiger. The park covers an area of 151 square miles and is home to more than 300 species of birds. Whilst tiger sightings are not guaranteed, Ranthambore National Park is one of the few places in India where tigers are still found in the wild, alongside crocodiles and monkeys.

Day 01

Delhi - Sawai Madhopur

Take the Indian Rail Experience. Board the train from H. Nizamuddin Railway Station at 1200 hrs. Lunch on Board. Arrive Sawai Madhopur met & greet & transfer to the 4-Star Superior Dev Vilas Resort, for a two-night stay and dinner tonight.

Ranthambore National Park: Rajasthan’s first Project Tiger Reserve spread over in an area of 392 sq. kms and named after a 1000 year old fort which stands in the park. This is the stat’s most well-known tiger reserve under Project Tiger. Home of an expansive variety of other animals in its area, one can spot sambar, cheetal, wild boar, leopard, sloth bear, jackal, hyena among others. Artificial lakes, dense forests and the shield of the Aravallis have helped to make this park very impressive and interesting[D]

Day 02

Morning / Evening Game Viewing

Morning 3 hours Jeep safarideep into the Jungle to see the Tiger and Leopard, the main predators found in this reserve. Hyena & Jackal are the Scavengers. Sloth Bear and Wild Bear are the main carnivores. The main herbivores found in this Park are Spotted Deer, Sambhar Deer, Nilgai (Bluebell) antelope, Chinkara (Indian gazelle) and the common langur.

Later visit to 13thCentaury historical Ranthambore fort surrounded by the Vindhyas and Aravalis, amidst vast arid denuded tracts of Rajasthan, lies the Oasis of Biomass in an Ecological desert, the great Ranthambore, the most eminent ruler of the Fort was Rao Hamir who ruled around 1296 A.D. There are various places of Historical Places inside the fort namely ToranDwar, MahadeoChhatri, Sameton Ki Haveli, 32-Pillard Chhatri, Mosque & the Ganesh Temple, the biggest attraction of the Fort.

Day 03

Sawai Madhopur - Delhi

Early morning transfer to Station to board the Jan Shatabdi Exp. at 0714 hrs. Breakfast on board. Arrive H. Nizamuddin Station at 1235 hrs, upon arrival transfer to the 4-Star Superior Pride Plaza Hotel Aerocity for day use later transfer to airport to board the flight for onward destination.[B]
